Experience Caledonia

Caledonia provides a variety of activities for all seasons! The spring and summer months can find residents and visitors at the City Aquatic Center, picnicking in one of the City parks and listening to music provided by an assortment of local entertainers. Camping and trout fishing is a favorite pastime and there are numerous creeks and streams at area state parks to cast a line. In August, Caledonia is host to the Houston County Fair offering carnival rides, demo derbies, animal shows, truck and tractor pulls, and lots of delicious fair food! For the avid golfer, a local country club provides a challenging 9 hole course, driving range and putting green for those who wish to sharpen their game.

The fall season offers several events including Caledonia Fall Fest complete with fun activities for kids, various performances and a vintage and makers market. For a spooky good time, visit the Scare at the Fair or get lost in a local corn maze. In the winter, outdoor activities include snowmobiling the well-groomed area trails, spending the afternoon skating on the City ice rink, or cross country skiing or snowshoeing at state parks. On chilly days, open bowling is available at the local bowling alley or visit the City Public Library and borrow a good book or complete a craft with the kids.. There is something for everyone in Caledonia!
